Of the screenplays above, SE7EN is the spec; pure FIRST DRAFT. I wrote it while working at the 66th + Broadway Tower Records, across from Lincoln Center. From NYC, I cold-called screenwriter (now also director + novelist) David Koepp, in LA, who -- incredibly -- was nice enough to read the script and to recommend it to his agent. So, yeah, I did do some tweaks suggested by David Koepp, but that was it.
The script for BRAINSCAN is one of the first I wrote (before SE7EN) after moving to NYC, having graduated (studying film production, + screenwriting under JEFF RUSH) from The Pennsylvania State University. The company I wrote BRAINSCAN for went out of business, and to my great surprise the movie was released a few years later. It was my first (and for all I knew then last) feature writing credit.
